Study permit
The study permit is a mandatory immigration document for all those who study in Canada All international students, except those studying in a program that is LESS than 6 months. You must apply for a study permit before you come to Canada. Some people can apply for a study permit from within Canada. In a few cases, you can apply when you arrive in Canada at the port of entry. Students can apply for a study permit once they have received confirmation approval from a designated learning institution. All primary and secondary schools in Canada are designated learning institutions. They aren’t included in this list. If you plan to attend a post-secondary school, make sure it is on this list.
Working Hours
When you arrive in Canada and begin your full-time undergraduate or graduate studies, you will be able to work part-time (up to 20 hours a week, on or off campus) during academic study and full-time (up to 40 hours a week) during school breaks.
